The ranch of 2 Stars Legacy Blazers is located in south Meridian, Idaho (USA).  Mike Kruse, the owner and operator of this ranch, has been raising Blazer horses since 1988.  Mike has been involved in the breeding, raising and training of his Blazer horses -- since his first Blazer horse purchase in 1988, his Blazer horse herd has grown to present day at 10 horses.  In addition, Mike's lone Blazer Horse stallion Little Red, has sired in excess of 20 foals to his get over the past 15 years.  Mike is commited to maintaining the God-given Nature of the Horse in his breeding program, allowing his horses to grow naturally without man-made growth products or intervention.
 
Mike maintains the stringent standards set forth by the American Blazer Horse Association (ABHA) in their Studbook and Registry rulebook.  Mike is also trying to adhere to the historical and natural conformation traits of the horse as outlined by Dr. Deb Bennett in her book series "The Principles of Conformation Analysis".  Dr. Bennett, in her employ with the Smithsonian Institute, studied the bone structure of equine fossil remains over the years and established what standards were most common in the natural horse... what helped them to survive and what were their strengths (and weaknesses).  It is Mike's belief that the naturally grown horse is the best way to achieve soundness, health and longevity in the lifetime of a horse and is paramount to maintaining the true Nature of the Horse.
 
 
 
 
Our Mission:
 
To propagate the Blazer Horse breed as a breeder and a lifetime member of the American Blazer Horse Association (ABHA).  To introduce others others to the beauty and disposition of the Blazer horse and to help others enjoy the true Nature of the Horse that has become so common place in this Blazer Horse breed.

Company history
 
Mike Kruse, owner and operator of 2 Stars Legacy Blazers, bought his first Blazer horse, Sarah, in 1988.  He bought his first Blazer Horse stallion, Little Red, in 1991.  In 1991, partnering with Paul Haynes and Dave Haynes to form H2K Blazer Horse Ranch in Star, Idaho, the venture really began.
 
Little Red sired over 20 foals for Paul, Dave and Mike during the past 15 years.  Many of these horses have since been sold and are now in the hands of other proud Blazer horse owners enjoying what God gave them best... beauty, grace under power and personality.
 
Paul and Dave have since passed away over the past few years.  Mike continues to live the adventure and the joy of being a Blazer horse breeder, now under the company name of 2 Stars Legacy Blazers.  Little Red, now 22 years of age, continues to re-produce the conformation and disposition that Mike has intentionally bred for.
